Dr. Robert Jackall is tenured professor sociology and public affairs, Williams College. His books and academic papers have ranged broadly over middle management propaganda, image making and teenage drug lords. In the 20th anniversary publication of his scholarly acclaimed book, Moral Mazes: The World of the Corporate Manager is being republished with the new subtitle: Corporate Ethos and the Financial Debacle. Professor Jackall last month delivered the keynote address at the prestigious Ecole Polytechnique, Paris, on the subject. A resident of Manhattan, he is known for his innovative and iconoclastic studies. Typically a semester in New York City, interning, researching and writing o n the urban society.
